FAQ

Q. HOW DO I SAUNA?

A. A typical sauna “session” consists of 2-4 “rounds” (sometimes more) rotating between the hot room and cooling down outside/taking a cold rinse or plunge. A “round” consists of 5-15 minutes in the hot room (everyone is different, listen to your body. Exit when you are ready), followed by a cold rinse and an equal amount of time cooling down and letting your heart rate and body temperature return to normal before re-entering the hot room for another “round.” End your sauna session with a cold rinse for maximum benefits.

Q. HOW HOT DO YOUR SAUNAS GET?

A. We generally keep our hot room between 165-200F.

Q. WHERE CAN YOU DELIVER?

A. We can deliver and host our saunas in almost any legal location with solid level ground and decent roads along the route. We just need enough space to navigate our vehicles and park. Always contact us to discuss your proposed event site.

Q. HOW BIG ARE THE SAUNAS

A. When fully set up with our deck down, each sauna measures 8.5’ wide x 16’ long x 12’ high.

Q. HOW SHOULD I PREPARE?

A. Please shower/bathe before coming to a sauna session. Do not wear any makeup or scented perfumes as some products may irritate other guests and possibly damage sauna interiors. Please come hydrated. Read and sign our waiver before entering.

Q.WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO YOUR PRIVATE EVENTS?

A. Water bottle/cup, yourself. Please keep personal items to a minimum.

Q. WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO PUBLIC EVENTS

A. Swimsuit, water bottle/cup, sandals, 2 towels (one for sitting on in hot room, 1 for drying/changing). Please keep personal items and bulky clothing to a minimum as storage space is limited. If possible leave valuables in your car or elsewhere.

Q. I FORGOT MY TOWEL/SANDALS?

A. We usually carry some extras which are available to rent. Ask your host.

Q. HOW MANY CAN FIT IN THE SAUNA?

A.  We can comfortably seat 5-8 full-grown humans, but since humans come in all shapes and sizes, some groups may be able to fit a few more or a few less.

Q. CAN I PUT WATER ON THE ROCKS?

A. Yes, absolutely. Water on the rocks is encouraged to create the proper löyly. Always ask your sauna mates before adding water.

Q. IS THE SPACE CLEAN?

A. The wood (which is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-microbial) and the heat (between 160-200F) together keep the space quite sanitized. On top of that, we spray, scrub, and rinse down benches with a solution of food-grade hydrogen peroxide, and we've never had or heard of any issues!
